The new incentives package for the textile industry of Pakistan

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Office the whole textile mills Association (APTMA) in Pakistan Ismalabd, Pakistan's Textile and Trade Minister Mr. Pervaiz said the Government will announce a package of new incentives to boost textile exports are in decline. The Government is to review the Government's package to stimulate exports but has yet to give positive results.

The Minister said every attempt is being made to increase cotton production by focusing on the study of cotton with the APTMA.

Textile exports in August 2017 year recorded growth of 9% to 1.17 billion dollars, compared with 1.08 billion in the same period the year before. On the basis of incremental export, then weaving has increased 6%, reached 2.18 billion dollars in the two months of the current fiscal year.

In August, exports of basic textile fell 8 percent compared with the same period a year ago down to 302 million USD.
